I don't want a big long complicated list of rules but there needs to be some. Here are the provisional rules (subject to change before the season start)

Sportsmanship


The #1 rule is that all drivers must be good sportsmen and respect their rivals.
No deliberate ramming.
No blocking - You may defend your line but you must then stick to that line, no weaving to prevent a pass - same rule as real F1
F1 is generally non contact.
There will be no restarts. Make sure you do not false start. Be careful into the first corner
Also show the AI cars the same respect you show the Humans. The AI are not your brakes.


Disputes
If you feel wronged by another driver in a race do not retaliate then or get angry on teamspeak. Lodge a dispute after with the time it happened and who you have grievance with.

The other drivers will then vote on the incident.

If the vote is guilty another vote will be held for punishment.

Available punishiments are


10 seconds added to race time of guilty driver
30 seconds added to race time of guilty driver
DQ from race for guilty driver


This should make the league self policing and everyone behave. Please remember as it is online that lag could contribute to a collision so where possible please give the benefit of the doubt.

Driver Aids - you may have your aids set however you like but they will be made conform with the following list by the server. You have have TC off if you like but it won't be allowed on high.

Race - 30% of the laps that a normal F1 race would be on the circuit raced (Pitstops and refuelling allowed)

Tyre usage - normal usage
Mech failures - Off


AI
You may miss races and let the AI race for you. Your points will count towards the championship so long as you complete 50% or more of the races.

Setups
Setups may be obtained from the net, shared with other racers or created yourself. There is no obligation for anyone to share a setup with someone if they do not want to.
